new siblings

I have three students with new little siblings (in the last 6 weeks). The newest one was born on Tuesday. The very proud big brother was telling us about his new little brother. I would ask a question and he would tell us about the baby. He told us how big he is, what his name is, and other baby things. Then I asked "Does he have a lot of hair?" His response, "Don't know, he came with a hat." It cracked me up! I am pretty sure that he thinks that his little brother will always wear a hat. Yesterday he told me that he finally has his baby-meaning that his mom and little brother are home from the hospital.

The kids thought it would be pretty awesome if their little brothers and sister were in the same kindergarten class when they get bigger like they are.

That has to be the CuTeSt thing I've read all week - "he came with a cap!" It's especially connecting to me right now as I start my holiday tradition of knitting baby caps for preemies in the developing countries. Such a worthwhile way to pass the time! Glad I found your blog - I'm adding it to my roll!
